Was up at 7a this morning.. skipped 6a alarm clock and said no to early morning CrossFit, which normally I love. I was dragging because I knew I had a dentist appointment at 11 am, and while my teeth are always fine, and I never have any issues, my gums are always so sore afterwards. No matter what I do, where I go, this gum soreness still happens. 🙁 And it goes beyond my gums, I can’t even eat hard or chewy food for a day or so. I tried snacking on some raisins earlier, and even those hurt.
So… I can’t really eat much right now and all I’ve had to eat were some raisins, lots of fried eggs, some bacon, some chicken sausage and a little salad. I keep telling myself I need some carbs, so I want to eat a Clif Bar, but that will hurt so badly! It won’t be worth it.. then I’m like, okay make a protein shake! But my initial reaction is mehhhh… I don’t feel like a protein shake! I’ve been dragging ass all morning, and I ended up drinking some of my BCAAs, my trusty Scivation Xtend, with the hopes that it’ll perk me up a bit.
I finally went and laid outside on the patio for a bit with the puppies. I’m sure staring at the computer trying to get some work done this afternoon didn’t help too much.
I know if I DON’T go work out tonight that I’ll be restless and crappy feeling for the rest of the evening, and then I won’t sleep well. Basically I need to suck it up and go to the gym.
