Sooo like I said.. I needed to just suck it up and go yesterday, and I did! And guess what? It was awesome, I felt great, and I was really glad I went.
Our WOD was Nasty Girls.. a benchmark WOD that I first did back in August.. AND… how’s this for improvement??? Check it..
I LOVE THIS.
This time, I did Nasty Girls with the RX weight of 95lbs for the hang cleans. I also did buckets for the first time in my life. (to help practice for muscle up movements with your hands/arms.)
“Nasty Girls” is

50 Squats
7 Muscle Ups (or 7 buckets, or 21 ring rows AND 21 ring dips)
10 hang cleans 135/95
This time I finished in 11:05. I RXed the weight, and I did buckets (green band).
The LAST time I did this WOD, on August 24th, I finished in 13:13, I did it with 85 lbs, and I only did the 21 ring rows (and apparently not the ring dips).
This is why I blog and keep track of my crossfit progress… one of the big reasons, anyway! This just made my day, really. To see that kind of improvement in a matter of months is just awesome. Time, weight, and skill. YES.
