KILLED IT. Today was a day of total inspiration and badass-ness. I loved it!! Not sure what did it, but I was with several people I adore, and man, the intensity and vibe from the workout today was just incredible! Everyone was so motivated and INTO it! We had a newbie join us today too, and she felt it as well. She’s so excited, posting about her experience on FB, and man, she killed it! We all did so great!!
We started out with our old circle up warm ups. Then we moved into our regular warm ups, so we did like, double warm ups. Ran around the building once, and even that was good. Geez.
Moving along, we went through a basic training session for everyone, since we were doing a lot of things that quite a few weren’t too familiar with. Handstand push ups, power snatches, that sorta thing. 😀
We then moved on to 4 x 30 sec of handstands. Elaine and I teamed up on one wall, and the rest got the hang of the movements.
Our WOD was the following:
1 power snatch (55lbs)
5 overhead squats (55lbs)
300 meter run around the building
I finished in 8:52. Not too bad!!! I came in 2nd after Elaine. 🙂
Another thing I’m noticing now with my body… my face is getting thinner, especially around my jawline and my neck. My rings are loose on my fingers, and almost to the point where I should probably get them resized soon. I’ll get some pics posted up soon of that. 🙂 Also, my belt is still happily on the last (first? smallest) hole, but even that will only last so long. So cool! I love these changes.
