Hey let’s do heavy snatch balances, overhead squats, and 100 burpees, cool!
We worked on our snatch balance today, from the rack. I got up to 85lbs I think, and was done. It just destroyed my wrists, so I opted to stop.
The WOD:
10-1 Descending Ladder
OHS 95/65
10 Lateral Bar Burpees each round
So.. 10 OHS, 10 burpees, 9 OHS, 10 burpees, 8 OHS, 10 burpees.
AWESOME.
20 min time cap. I stayed neck and neck with Lindsey W, if not just ahead of her, the entire time!! The last round of burpees, she totally pulled a ninja move and slammed like 4 burpees out and beat me by 4 seconds’ time. WTF. It was pretty awesome though. To keep up with her, and to finish almost at the same time! I tried going as fast as I could on the last couple burpees, but she had me. She was standing in front of me but mentally keeping up with my progress the entire time. Pretty impressive.
AND I finished in 17:56. Not bad for 100 burpees and 55 OHS! At least I didn’t think it was a bad time. Some crazy people finished in like, 10 min, 12 min, wtf. Insanity. I just can’t move that fast.
Oh well! It was great. And… talk about shoulders being smoked.. this was definitely the week of shoulder wrecking.
