I sucked at spinning today. I went, I was excited about being there, but the music was a bit different today. She played some of the good songs, but not all of them, and we did a CRAZY amount of isolations.. AND I was trying to Shazam every song she played, since I can never remember them.. haha So, combine all these things, and I had a shitty spinning day. Oh well. It was still great, and it still kicked my ass, but I didn’t leave feeling all jacked up like I usually do. Instead, I was more like good god, I’m beat today..
One amusing thing.. I saw our general practitioner on the way out the door. The guy who always tells me I need to exercise more, and then when I tell him I am exercising, he responds with, then you’re doing the wrong things.. (yes, I realize I’m overweight, but that doesn’t mean I don’t exercise, and that I’m not strong..) He’s a nice guy, with good intentions, but it was definitely great to run into him at the Y, when I was completely exhausted and red faced from spinning.
Me: “Hi doctor!! How’s it going?! Funny running into you here! Oh, this? Yeah, I do this twice a week.. I also do Crossfit twice a week too..”
His response: “Crossfit?? That’s a really hard workout..”
Me: “I know. It’s awesome.” 😀 😀 😀 😀
Crossfit tomorrow at 11a. My 3rd elements class! I hope I’m ready for next week..
