CrossFit Open 2017 Finished – RXed Every Work Out!
Holy amazing. I should do this every Sunday. I made breakfast, ran errands, sewed some new key fobs, cleaned up a bit around the house; all with the knowledge that at 4p I’d have my Practice With a Purpose at Big Fish today..
Yesterday at the last minute, I booked an appointment with Chuck for a two hour massage immediately following yoga today. I made sure I remembered to take a dry change of clothes, (power yoga means seriously sweating) and questioned my decision. Is this wrong? Should I get a massage after yoga? Will it be good for me? What if I’m totally gross?
Best idea ever. I took clean clothes, a dry towel, and a lightweight Hoodie (I’m always cold after a massage, and even more so with the temps dropping into the -gasp- 60s.)
I was able to walk in with a clear head, a relaxed state of mind, no worries, no stress. Amazing. He worked on everything that was giving me issues and found other knots and tight spots that I couldn’t otherwise feel. Soreness from Crossfit yesterday (will post about that later) as well as soreness from our two days spent walking around at SGIA, a giant trade show in Orlando. He even went over a bit on our time and it was very much welcomed.
I left feeling refreshed and almost high. I was so relaxed and still am. Usually when I go get a massage, I’m running from somewhere. The office, errands, fitting it in between other obligations, so I have other shit on my mind when I get there. Doing yoga beforehand eliminated this.
Seriously, I’m so peaceful and rested right now. It’s not something I’m used to, but I love it. 🙂
