Wee!! I rubbed the skin off my tailbone again today! Such fun. It’s not actually my tailbone that’s missing skin, but the little part at the top of my butt crack where I apparently put the most pressure on when I’m doing lots of sit ups, especially when there is no ab mat involved. Awesome. It really hurts, and I almost took a picture to post on here, but, I didn’t think that would be very appropriate. Maybe I’ll be able to get a stealth shot that shows the rubbed off skin, but not the butt crack part, hah.
In any case, WOW. I ran around the building 4 times today, pretty much without stopping! We did this in groups of 5, with a 35lb? duffel bag of sand. It was this relay thing, where the 5 people are running, and the person at the front of the line has the bag, and they pass it to the person behind them, and so on, til it gets to the last person. Then the last person has to run faster than the group all the way to the front of the line, and pass it back to the next person, and so on. Yeah, we did this several times while running around the building, so it ended up being 1200 meters, which is just about 3/4 of a mile. AWESOME. So glad we did this first! (seriously.)
When we finished, we had the joy of shoving the sled around a few times with 100 lbs in weights on it. And this was just the warm up!
Our WOD was the following:
10-1
SDLHPs (sumo deadlift high pulls)
Sit ups
I used the 35lb bar for my SDLHPs. It was too light to do them with proper form! I’m so used to having weight on the bar now. Weird. The sit ups, well, we all know what those are.
We’ve got Crossfit Monday Tuesday and Wednesday this week, because we’ll be going to West Palm on Friday for the Regionals! Sweet.
