So I went in Thursday night to hear the announcement of 14.1 with everyone, which was AWESOME, btw! I love getting together with everyone, especially in at the gym. It’s such a great feeling to be together with our amazing group. 🙂
I waited til Friday to do 14.1, and I went in at 4p and Tom judged me. It was AWESOME. I’m so glad we did it that way!

I have DUs, but they’re not that great. Especially when I’m tired or fatigued. And this shit going on with my achilles, I was a little nervous to do the movement, but whatever, I had to give it my best! This time it counts!
So.. I didn’t warm up my DUs much, because I wanted to be fresh with them. I set a goal for 3 rounds in my head and Tom said, okay then 3 rounds we will get! The snatches were no issue, it was the DUs that wore me out.
BUT.. I got my 3 rounds, and then some!! Total score 149. As of right now, the highest score is Sam Briggs who has a rep count if 472 (10 rounds plus 22 DUs.. JESUS CHRIST) and then in the SE Region the high score is 409. WHOA. Super awesome! Obviously I’m not going to Regionals, but it’s so great to be able to see my progress.
A year ago, I panicked when I saw DUs in the WOD, because back then, I could only do like, 1. And that was completely by chance when it happened! Hah. Now I can at least string 5-10 together when I need to. Progress is happening!!!
