I felt super sluggish today, and don’t know what the hell is wrong with me. I feel tired, and get fatigued so quickly. Maybe not enough protein in my diet? I’ve been eating a lot more fruit lately, and not eating as MUCH lately.. Just because we’ve been tired, I didn’t feel like eating, or cooking, haven’t been hungry. I’ve been snacking on nuts and dried fruit here and there to satisfy my hunger cravings when they arise, but that’s it. I don’t know. I made chicken tonight, so I’m hoping that starts to restore my energy a bit. I saved the rest for a salad for tomorrow. As far as food in general goes, I’m not even craving anything I can’t have. I’m loving Paleo and know that if I stray from it, I just feel like shit and it’s not worth it. The only thing I’ve added back in is dairy here and there. Not like, a pile of cheese, but if my burger comes with bleu cheese crumbles, I’ll have some of them, or my omelet, etc.
Crossfit kicked my ass today. It wasn’t even that ‘hard’ of a workout, but again, the sluggish feeling came upon me so quickly, that I was just.. devastated that I wasn’t able to push myself further. I didn’t want to quit, because I hate quitting, but I didn’t want it to be happening, either. I don’t know how to describe it. It started out with my mind being elsewhere during our warm ups, and missing the proper reps and movements, and having to start all over. My own fault, but I swapped the numbers on one of the movements and put my kettlebell down to adjust my shirt, and had wtf, had to start all over. Sucks. That immediately set me up for feeling like I didn’t do well today, I think.
Our WOD was the following:
3RFT
50 meter run with the medicine ball overhead (14lbs)
14 squats
7 wall walk up things. Where you stand away from the wall, get down on your hands, and then kick your feet up behind you, walk your feet up backwards on the wall, so when you’re done, you’re facing the wall on your hands, and then walk your hands back out, drop your feet back down, stand up. (that’s 1 rep) Those were a killer, because my hands were still sore from Monday’s workout, and my shoulders were tired from holding the med ball.
And then 2 minutes of as many burpee box jumps as possible. I got through 10. I don’t even know that I hit 10, it could’ve been 9.
Blah. I sucked today. Finished in 16 min 51 sec. Terrible time. I don’t care that I finished, I care that I sucked so badly at it.
