Rope Climbs. I love them, but I hate them. I love that I can do them now, I hate that I can’t RX the WODs with them yet! (Well, not if there are more than 2 or 3 consecutive rope climbs, anyway..)
I went to this one KNOWING I’d have a tough time. I still get excited to do rope climbs, and I still get nervous as shit!
We started out with pull ups.. I’m still doing banded, so, whatever. Frustrating, but one thing at a time, I suppose.
3 Attempts max pullups for total.
I got 15, 11, and 12. (banded, unbroken pullups)
Then the WOD.
Started out with 1000M Row.

I cut mine down.. I scaled it to something that I thought would be more achievable for my abilities.
I did 3, 2, 1, 1, 1 rope climbs, but the last 2 I had to do the cheeseball sissy rope-lowering deals instead of actual climbs.
There were 3 separate times where I almost started crying, because I felt defeated. But I teared up, sucked it up, and kept on going.
I was so glad when that one was done..
