I finally made an effort to get back into the gym on a regular basis, despite how busy we had been with Black Friday and Cyber Monday madness. It feels so good to put forth the effort and actually follow through.
We worked on our 5RM Touch and Go Power Cleans, and I checked out what Lauren and Gina got and made that my goal. They both hit 145, so I tried for that. I’d like to think that just about anything strength wise, if they can do it, so can I! (Most of the time).
I ended up getting 150 for my 5RM touch and go power clean, and I was really happy with that!
The WOD was:
Odd Min 200m run
Even Min 15 burpees
So, it’s only RX if you can do the 15 burpees each time, and your score is 15. Otherwise, your score is the lowest # of burpees you did in any of those even minutes. I knew I could bang out 15 burpees in the first minute, but definitely not towards the final minutes, so I aimed for 7 per minute and that’s what I stuck with, especially with the running. I hate running, but this made it doable for me, and it still kicked my ass.
My score became 7.
It was also a ladies only class, total fluke but it was a lot of fun. 🙂
