Hey cool, you’ve already done 56 cleans, 41 of which included OH movements in the last 24 hours, let’s do it again!!
Not the smartest thing to go and do Grace, but hey. I hadn’t done Grace in ages, and I’ve never technically RXed it. The last time I did anything like Grace was when Rob Orlando hosted his Strongman Competition in Jax, but then I did it with a log, and not at RX weight. Previously, I did 5 minutes of clean and jerks, and got 29, and that was just a year ago! I usually just say my Grace time was 5:10, or so, because that would’ve been fairly accurate BUT this time I did it for realz.
Mens bar, 2 25lb plates, final time, 3:35. Whaaaaaat.. SO EXCITED. Good enough for 3rd place on that board of ours! Fuck yeah. Talk about progress! Now, I wonder how great I would’ve done had I not had all the fatigue on my neck and shoulders the day before? The thing is, I felt really great, even after Grace, I felt good!
Then came the soreness.. Then the neck tightening, then the little pinched nerve in my shoulder blade feeling. I had an appointment with Chuck tonight (Sunday) and this was a pro/con situation. Pro because he could work on it for me, Con because he’d lecture the shit out of me for overdoing it.
Thankfully, Dave spent some time on it Saturday evening, as well, and loosened it up a bit. Then Chuck spent over an hour on my back and shoulders tonight, and lectured me. Grrr.
But….. I PRED MY GRACE TIME!!! hahahaaaaa
Okay now I need to go rest. Oh hey btw, new cover photo!
“I love my busy life. It keeps me happy, satisfied, motivated. To do more, to work harder, to accomplish new things, both personally and in our business. It keeps me positive, sane, and it’s exhilarating. It also allows me to appreciate my quiet and still moments that much more.”
