I took it easy on my isolations though.. I want to protect my knees for the more important stuff, like Crossfit.
Speaking of Crossfit, a funny thing happened at spin yesterday. This girl walked in and sat down next to me, and we started talking about working out, whatever. She was complaining that she didn’t really want to be there, and that all her friends say ‘well you always feel better after you work out’ to which I agreed, and then she proceeded to say, ‘that doesn’t happen for me.. I feel fine even if I don’t work out..’ (okay…to each their own.)
So I said that “well, I always feel better after I work out.. and really, my spinning days are my off days.” Her jaw dropped and she said, “what the hell do you do on your ‘on’ days?” So I told her I do Crossfit, to which she replied, oh.. that shit’s insane.
I tried explaining to her that I really liked and enjoyed it, and she just kept on with the “crossfit is crazy” stuff, so, that was the end of the conversation.
