Today was awesome! Glad I went in.. Of course I tried to get up this morning and it just wasn’t happening. I used to do it.. not sure why not anymore.. sigh. Okay fine so I went to the 6:30p class, which was great! Today’s WOD was..
Strength: Dynamic Effort Upper
1.) 6×3: Bench Press – 30 Seconds Rest
Bar Weight = 40% of 1RM
Band Tension =(Orange/Red/Blue) Depending on 1RM and Bar Speed
2.) 3×10: Bent Over Barbell Rows – AHAP
WOD: 5 Rounds
8- Pullups (Strict)
16- BB Lunges (95/65) From the Back Rack
1.) 4×50 Banded Pull Aparts
2.) 4x100m Sled Drags w/ 25# held to chest. (All Forward Drags) (I skipped the sleds!)
The bench presses hurt my right wrist a little, so I stopped after 3 attempts on that one. I didn’t like the banded bench press.. it was weird. Hell, I don’t like regular bench press!
Then the barbell rows hurt my right wrist also, so I stopped that one too. Bleh. I feel like a sissy but it’s not worth hurting myself over.
Then, the WOD, I did a 45lb plate and an abmat for my HSPUs, (wore my wrist wraps and they felt pretty good) and used a green and purple band simultaneously for this strict pull ups shit. RXed the back rack barbell lunges at 65lbs. Whew, those were rough!!
But I did it. 🙂 12:32! Beaming. 🙂
