As I posted on Facebook, Workouts like today’s rekindle my faith in my strengths and abilities. I left the gym feeling awesome, happy and accomplished. 🙂
We did a challenging workout. One of those ones that most people can’t do unbroken. It was called the Unbroken Barbell.
35 hang cleans
35 front squats
35 push presses
35 back squats
If you put the bar down or dropped it at any time, you had to do 5 burpees. I really dislike burpees, although I don’t fear them anymore, but the idea was to do as few burpees as possible. This is one of those WODs that’s challenging like the 100 kettlebell swings WOD. I was up for it!
I RXed it, first of all, at 65lbs. I got all the way through my hang cleans and my front squats, and finally had to stop and put the bar down. My forearms were BURNING. I did my 5 burpees, and tried to tell myself I could get through the rest.
I DID!!! I only had to stop that one time and drop the bar. I got through it in 10:55. YEAH!!!!
