I feel like I’ve gotten a groove back. I’ve missed it so! I’ve been saying it forever, but it really clicked recently.
When you feel like shit, go work out. You’ll feel better. I promise. Especially if you’re in a crappy mood, or you’ve had a crappy day, or someone upset you or shit happened that you didn’t like. Go to the gym. When you’re done working out, you’ll most likely have forgotten about your shitty mood, or at the very least, whatever it is that pissed you off won’t be what’s on your mind when you’re finished kicking your own ass!
Yep.
Anyway.
snatch balance

then
for time:
15 hang squat snatch 95/65
6 lateral burpees
10 hang squat snatch 115/75
6 lateral burpees
5 hang squat snatch 135/95
6 lateral burpees
5 hang squat snatch155/115
6 lateral burpees
Snatch balance sucks. I got up to 115. It wasn’t a jerk behind the neck, it was a squat snatch from behind the neck. Bleh. If I didn’t have to squat it, I would’ve gotten more. I feel like the wide grip (snatch grip) and squat movements just don’t agree with me on heavier stuff. Oh well. Squat snatching isn’t really a daily movement in regular life, so I’m okay with that.
The WOD I finished in 9:46.
I power snatched instead of squat snatching, especially as the weight got heavier. I can just move more weight and have more stability when I don’t squat snatch. So, because I power snatched, I was able to move through each of the increasing weights and finish at 115. Proud of that. 🙂
