My At Home WOD from New Year’s Eve. We weren’t doing anything, and I felt compelled to get out and do something..
Okay fine, the real story is, I got into an argument with my Mom over something ridiculous, and it made me so fucking aggravated and angry (principle of something, plus some underlying issues that needed to be addressed) that the only thing that would resolve it was to walk away and leave. Had I stayed, it would’ve escalated into something beyond repair, so I walked away.
I grabbed my keys, got in the car, and set out to take a drive around the neighborhood, but all I could think about was working out.. I wanted to just WORK OUT. Who does that? Me, apparently..
So I went to this part of the neighborhood that’s not developed yet, parked and walked around the streets for about 10 minutes. (two long cul-de-sacs, unbuilt, just empty, wooded land.. I love it out there..)

It was freezing, (well, low 50s is freezing for us Floridians) and I only had my tshirt and jeans on. I did some squats and lunges and decided my barefoot or Birkenstocked feet wouldn’t cut it. I drove home, changed my clothes, told Dave where I was going and returned back to my little remote spot.
I turned on my CardioTrainer app to check the distance I kept using to run. It was 230m. So.. I used that as part of my little WOD. Here it is, my New Year’s Eve Cooling Off from Arguing with my Mom WOD.

My New Year’s Eve WOD |
By the time I was done, I was refreshed, warm, my mind was clear, and I was in much better spirits. My mom and I worked it out the next morning, too. 🙂
