Today is a pretty important day for me!! Today marks my one month of Crossfit! Of course, today was REALLY hard, and I didn’t even come close to finishing my WOD, which sucks!! But it was quite the workout.
Today I got to share the day with Anne, Kyle, Luke, Diesel and the Erins. 🙂 Of course, I’m an idiot and totally forgot that it was my one month anniversary, even though I’ve been dying to post about it for a couple days now! Go figure.
Today also marks a new PR for me! Our warm ups were quick, and included some romanian dead lifts, good mornings, and squat cleans. From there, we moved right into the Strength training of our workout. Front squats, 5, 5, 3, 3, 1.
I started with 85lbs and worked my way up to 135lbs. The only thing that really keeps me from pushing harder with the weight is how much holding the bar like that hurts my left wrist.
Moving along, our WOD was the following:
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Squat Cleans (65lbs for me)
Pull Ups (jumping pull ups)
We had 16 minutes to do this, but I was still sore from Wednesday’s crazy 1/2 Murph WOD, and then the warm ups and strength stuff we did had worn my quads out! I got through 5 sets, which I’m not too crazy about. Would’ve liked to have finished more! But.. I’m definitely going to be sore tomorrow! Haha It’ll be good though, because tomorrow I’m going to go watch Crossfit Inertia compete in the regionals.
I’d also like to mention that, even though I wasn’t supposed to weigh myself, I did, (sorry Erin!!) and I’m down 7 lbs since I started Paleo on Sunday night. I’m pretty amped up to see how much more I’ll progress by the end of my 30 day Paleo challenge!
